Matthew Held is the principal translator at MH TransConsult, LLC. He has more than 10 years experience as an independent translator, working both with translation agencies and direct clients in the United States and Europe. He is a native speaker of American English. Therefore, he personally translates from German into English only, but has the capabilities and resources to deliver high-quality English-to-German translations as well.

Areas of specialization:

Matthew specializes in the following areas:

• Mechanical Engineering: industrial pumps, refrigeration, automotive, process engineering, firearms, industrial manufacturing, etc.
• Business and Economics: business agreements, financial analysis, macro and micro-economic analysis

• Press releases and marketing: Always written in a natural, fluent style, never word-for-word.

When appropriate, the following is standard procedure:

• Delivery of a word list: This may be a listing of words whose meanings are unclear or simply a bilingual list of important terminology that can serve as a dictionary at your company.
• Notification of absence: Clients with ongoing requirements receive advance notification of absence due to business travel or vacation.
